About this project
Client wanted a two storey house that had the look of a single storey country house. Our design team at Roof Systems worked with his architect to stretch design parameters using our lightweight framing system as the base structure creating a unique upper living space. For the finished product the client wanted a unique looking roof- he really liked the look of asphalt shingles but wanted a longer lasting product.
Taking this into consideration we consulted our partners, Metrotile, who are based in New Zealand. Metrotile recommended their natural stone granule coated metal shingle and after consultation with the client, produced a special colour to meet his needs. This is truly a unique roof as it was custom made from start to finish with input from around the world
